Chelsea Clinton's Gluten Free Wedding Cake
If you haven't heard by now, Chelsea Clinton got married. Apparently there wasn't much else going on for the few weeks surrounding her wedding because it was the biggest headline for quite a while. One of the main press points was the fact that Chelsea had a gluten free wedding cake, as well as several vegan options available. This got a lot of people asking "what's gluten free?" I've noticed that whenever a celebrity finds out they have celiac disease or talks about gluten free food, it suddenly becomes a trendy thing...not that I'm complaining. Samantha Chang for examiner.com wrote a great article about Chelsea's wedding cake.

The cake was four feet tall and 500 pounds and from La Tullipe Desserts in Westchester, NY. It had a hefty price tag, coming in at between $10,000 and $12,000. Hopefully more and more public exposure to gluten free foods will continue making them even more mainstream. The more "Chelsea Clinton weddings" we have, (not literally, of course) the more people will start to know what gluten free is!
